What is nimun
The sixteenth annual Navrachana International Model United Nations conference, held by NISV, exemplifies excellence in Model United Nations conferences. This distinguished event brings together student delegates from diverse educational institutions to engage in global diplomacy and governance on a esteemed platform.
The conference includes a variety of committees dedicated to solving critical global concerns such as the war on terrorism, proxy warfare and human rights violations. Delegates representing ambassadors from many countries will engage in rigorous discussions, negotiate settlements, and devise novel solutions to pressing global concern

the Secretary General
Greetings delegates,
It is my privilege to welcome you to a conference built on a theme that engages with what our world urgently needs - diplomacy.
The world we will debate at NIMUN XVI is not hypothetical. In Afghanistan, classroom doors remain shut to girls who once filled them. Across the Middle East, escalating tensions have displaced families and strained humanitarian access for years with no lasting resolution. In Ukraine, a war now entering its fifth year has turned cities into rubble and headlines into routine, with no resolution in sight. These are not distant tragedies confined to a screen; they are proof of what happens when diplomacy is not given a chance to succeed. NIMUN XVI is themed "Diplomacy in a Fragmented World," built on the motto "In Pursuit of a Humane World."
Over these two days, this room becomes its own small world: flags on desks standing in for nations, placards raised in place of ballots, whispered alliances forming between sessions. You'll have to defend a position that isn't yours, hold your ground when the room pushes back, and still find a way toward something workable. No one leaves having gotten everything they wanted; some walk out having traded away half their position just to keep the resolution alive. That's Diplomacy.
What you carry out of these committee rooms will outlast the gavel that ends this conference: not the resolution you passed, but the fact that you learned how to stay in a room you wanted to walk out of.
